Chocolate oatmeal recipe-Coziness in a bowl

There are mornings, especially during winter that make you want to curl up into a ball under a warm blanket and stay there for the rest of the day. The cozy, lazy mornings which we all love so much. When I think of coziness and comfort in general, the first thing that comes to my mind is a hot, steaming bowl of delicious chocolate oatmeal. Nothing compares to sitting in bed, holding that warm chocolate bowl of goodness in your hands so they stop being cold (or is it only me? My hands are always soooo cold!). Getting the "cozy vibes" yet? Here's my ultimate recipe for chocolate oatmeal-or in other words-coziness in a bowl.

  • 75g oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened plant-based milk-I use Alpro Soya Wholebean
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 ripe banana
  • a handful of raspberries
  • 1tbsp cacao powder
  • cinnamon
  • 1tsp almond butter-I use homemade chocolate almond butter
  • 1tsp coconut flakes

Place the oats ,milk and water in a saucepan and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add cinnamon, cacao powder, raspberries and half of the banana(mashed).
Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes(add a little bit of water if needed).
Transfer into a bowl and top with remaining half of the banana, almond butter and coconut flakes.
